The Power Was Never Hers 💡✋🏼
“I think she might text me again,”
he said.
“And then… I’ll have to decide, right?
The power will be in my hands.”
👀 But wait.
Why do we only feel powerful after someone else makes a move?
Here’s what I wanted to say:
The power was never hers.
It’s always been yours.
You don’t need a message from someone to start making a decision.
You don’t need permission to move on, let go, or even pursue again.
If you already know the relationship didn’t work —
If you’ve seen that your values, visions, and pace were never aligned —
Why are you waiting for someone else to text you before you honour that truth?
Because here’s the thing:
📍 If you choose to ignore what you need for the sake of comfort — that’s a choice.
📍 If you choose to reopen a chapter knowing it leads to the same ending — that’s a choice too.
📍 If you choose to let go and open space for someone more aligned — yep, still your choice.
Power isn’t about who texts first.
It’s not about who holds the final yes or no.
Power is about whether you act in alignment with what’s true for you — or not.
So don’t wait.
Not for an apology.
Not for a sign.
Not for a DM that might never come.
If you want to reach out — do it because it’s true, not because you want to feel powerful.
If you want to move on — do it because you’re ready, not because someone else gave you the green light.
🎯 The power is already in your hands.
The question is — will you claim and use it?
